Jesus told his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).  We seek to make Jesus known in our communities, our city, and beyond.  We encourage each person who calls Arnold Community Church “home” to find out how God is calling them to serve in their own neighbourhoods and work places.  In addition, we partner with various ministries to be more effective in spreading the love of Christ at home and abroad.

REACHING OUT

Missions is a growing ministry at Arnold Community Church.   Many people serve in various ways in our community, helping shine the light of Christ.  Each person who calls themselves a disciple of Jesus is a missionary.   While we serves with many local ministries in an official capacity, many of the people who call our church home serve in our community without fanfare and with humility in order to share the love of Jesus and to make His saving grace known.

WORLD MISSIONS

ALAN & COLLEEN FOSTER

Alan and Colleen (Kalea, Joshua) serve the Emberá and Wounaan communities in eastern Panama. These tribes have had limited access to the Gospel due to their remoteness as well as violence related to political factions and drug-trafficking. They also lack basic water and sanitation infrastructure and waterborne disease has escalated. Alan and Colleen provide technical and educational assistance to meet the needs of eight communities in clean water, sanitation, and health workshops. As they engage in meeting physical needs, Alan and Colleen have found many opportunities to minister to people’s spiritual needs.

CHILDREN: SONS TITAN & IKER, AND DAUGHTER LUNA

You can follow their journey on their Facebook.

Arturo and Heather were both individually connected to OLOCM in different ways – Heather came on as an assistant in Canada in 2012, Arturo as an assistant in Mexico in 2013. Both grew a love for this work, and in 2015 they were married and began to work together full time in Mexico.

After being a part of the developmental phase of many areas of programs and outreach, Arturo and Heather stepped into the position of Directors of Indigenous Ministry. They work together to develop programs, build relationships, create connections and find opportunities to broaden the reach of this Ministry.

One of Arturo and Heather’s main focuses is to come alongside the pastors of the San Quintin Valley to provide support through resources and relationship, empowering them to minister in their own communities. They also work closely alongside local families, connecting with groups from Canada and finding ways to provide continual support. During team seasons, Arturo is heavily involved in house build projects, and Heather is in charge of group outreach and program planning. Both Heather and Arturo also spend time in the office – Arturo in the area of finance and administration, and Heather in the area of media and communications.
